Rovers stopper handed fresh terms at Keepmoat

Adam Lockwood has handed Championship new boys Doncaster Rovers a boost by signing a new two-year deal. The commanding centre-half played a key part in the club's promotion last term in making 44 appearances. It was Lockwood that lifted silverware at the end of the season, as Doncaster beat Leeds in the League One play-off final at Wembley. Lockwood captained Rovers for much of last season as club captain Graeme Lee, who has since moved on to Bradford, endured an injury-plagued campaign. It is thought Rovers boss Sean O'Driscoll will hand Lockwood the captain's armband on a permanent basis for the new season.
