Bluebirds agree fee for former United youngster

FC Dallas are determined to keep Cardiff target Kenny Cooper at the club. Cardiff have agreed a fee of around £2million with MLS Soccer, who hold the players' contracts, and FC Dallas will have little say if the 23-year-old agrees personal terms with the Bluebirds. Cooper, who scored twice against David Beckham's LA Galaxy at the weekend, has attracted the interest of Bluebirds boss Dave Jones after netting 11 goals in 18 games this season. Dallas head coach Shellas Hyndman remains hopeful of keeping the former Manchester United youngster in America, claiming he is happy at the club.

Happy

"I think his heart is in Dallas, he would love to play here," Hyndman told the South Wales Echo. "We're trying to do everything we can to make sure he stays with this club. "Kenny is very important for this team, He is definitely someone we want to keep."
