Ipswich Town have been boosted by the news that Pablo Counago and Owen Garvan have both penned new long-term contracts.
The popular duo both had 12-months left on their current deals at Portman Road, but they have now signed three-year deals tying themselves to the club until 2011.
Counago, in his second spell with the Tractor Boys, arrived back in Suffolk last year whilst Garvan is a product of the club's academy.
"It's fantastic news for this Football Club in what is a very big season for us," said Town boss Jim Magilton after breaking the news to the club's official website.
"Both Pablo and Owen are very important players for us and it's a sign of the confidence they have in Ipswich Town that they have committed their future here for another three years.
"They are ambitious players and want to the playing in the Premier League and they have a part to play in helping us get there.
"Signing Owen and Pablo on long term deals is also a sign of the ambitions we have here. We are no longer in a position where we have to sell our best players.
"We have an ambitious owner who wants to see this Club back in the Premier League and signing Owen and Pablo on three year contracts is another step in that direction."
