Derby County manager Paul Jewell has dismissed reports that Miles Addison could join Stoke City.

Derby County manager Paul Jewell has dismissed reports that Miles Addison could join Stoke City. Addison has been linked with a £2million switch to Stoke in January after establishing himself in the Derby team this season. He was rewarded for his progress with a new three-year contract in September and is tipped for a bright future at Pride Park. And, having spoken to Stoke manager Tony Pulis, Jewell says there are no plans for the 19-year-old to move to the Britannia Stadium in the New Year.

Not for sale

"I spoke to Tony about another matter and he never mentioned it," Jewell told the Derby Evening Telegraph. "We are not going to sell Miles Addison, he won't be getting sold. "There are one or two players available who are not in the first team. But those lads in the first team are welcome to stay as long as they want to stay. "Everybody has their price, I guess, but we have worked too hard over the past year and gone through too much torture to now start selling our best players."
