Crystal Palace manager Neil Warnock has again dismissed speculation that he is being lined up as the next Ipswich boss.
Jim Magilton, the current chief at Portman Road, is under pressure following a disappointing campaign and could leave the club in the summer.
And rumour has implied that former Sheffield United boss Warnock may be the man to take over the Tractor Boys.
But Warnock, who has also been linked with Queens Park Rangers, has again moved to play down reports after already rubbishing the conjecture last week.
"No they haven't contacted me," he told the Croydon Guardian.
"I won't be commenting on any speculation at all. It's all hypothetical.
"It was QPR last week, Ipswich this week and I won't be commenting even if it is Manchester United next week."
Meanwhile, Warnock has revealed Eagles captain Shaun Derry's shoulder operation was more complicated than originally thought.
The midfielder underwent successful surgery last Wednesday to fix a long-standing problem, and the decision to let him go under the knife before the end of this season should ensure he is fit for next term.
"In hindsight doing the operation before the end of the season was certainly the right thing to do," Warnock told the Croydon Advertiser.
"The surgeon has told physio Nigel Cox that he did a lot more work on the shoulder than he expected - it wasn't in a very good way. At least now he gets two weeks' extra rest ahead of pre-season."
