Bristol City boss Gary Johnson has revealed midfield pair Cole Skuse and Ivan Sproule have agreed new contracts at the club.
The duo's current deals were set to expire this summer, which alerted a number of Championship clubs.
But Johnson told skysports.com that he always wanted to keep the pair at Ashton Gate.
"I think they have agreed new deals with the club, which is obviously a boost because they have been done really well last season for us," he said.
"Cole came through the academy system, which is always good to see kids come through the ranks and Ivan has done a good job for us in the last couple of seasons.
"It's good to keep them in the squad for next season because they were definitely ones we wanted to stick around."
However, one player who has left the club, albeit on a temporary basis, is Slovakian striker Peter Styvar, who has joined Greek club Xanthi Skoda on loan for a year.
Johnson said: "He(Styvar) has gone on loan for a year to the Greek club Xanthi Skoda because he found it very difficult to settle in this country and couldn't quite get up to the pace of the game that I require.
"He picked up a couple of illnesses, which set him back a little, and he was unavailable to us for a month or so.
"We felt that it was best for him to go out on loan and get some games under his belt.
"He is still our player and there is a nice loan fee coming our way, so it is good business for us and hopefully he will come back a more confident player.
"He needs to play football and he is at a very good club out there, so hopefully the sunshine and the extra games will help get him back to the player that he was when he first came to the club in January."
