Championship newcomers Peterborough have signed midfielder Toumani Diagouraga from Hereford for an undisclosed fee.
The 22-year-old signed a four-year contract on Wednesday, subject to Football League approval.
It represents second time lucky for Posh who tried to sign Diagouraga last summer but the Bulls turned down that approach, as they themselves had just been promoted.
But Darren Ferguson finally got his man following the Bulls' immediate return to League Two.
Diagouraga, who started his career at Watford, said he was persuaded to join Peterborough because of the ambition of the club, who have won back-to-back promotions under Ferguson.
He told the club's official website: "The ambition that the club showed was first-class and that has persuaded me to join.
"Peterborough are going places and I am pleased to be here. I played against the club for Hereford last season and when the opportunity came about to talk to Peterborough I jumped at the chance.
"You could see that they had some very good players and the last two years have been very successful for the club and hopefully we can continue to push forward.
"I am pleased to be back in the Championship again, I was at Watford at this level and it has been good for me to play in League Two and League One, it was a learning curve.
"I had a very good time at Hereford and I am sad to leave them, but at the end of the day I had to do what is best for me and my career and it is exciting times that I am now a Peterborough player and I can't wait to get started."
Diagouraga will join up with his new team-mates when the players reconvene for pre-season training on 1st July.
