West Brom have announced that influential midfielder James Morrison should be ready to return to training in 10 days after undergoing surgery.
The Hawthorns star has had an operation on a troublesome heel injury and is now undergoing a rehabilitation process.
Morrison was a spectator for the final five games of last season as the Baggies were relegated from the Premier League because he was sidelined with the problem.
But West Brom have now announced that the 23-year-old is soon expected to resume training with the club's medical team.
A statement on the club's official website said: "James Morrison is hoping to resume training with the physio in 10 days after undergoing a minor operation on his troublesome heel injury."
Morrison was ruled out of Saturday's surprise pre-season friendly defeat to Histon and will also miss the forthcoming mini-tour of Slovenia.
Meanwhile, reports suggest that Paul Robinson has held talks with Bolton over a possible move to the Reebok Stadium.
The defender has previously admitted his future would be uncertain after Tony Mowbray's move to Celtic and he had hinted he could follow his ex-boss to Parkhead.
But Bolton are understood to be in pole position to sign the 30-year-old former Watford player.
