Bristol City have opened talks to sign Czech Republic goalkeeper Martin Lejsal on a season-long loan deal.
Lejsal currently plays for Brno, but is looking to secure a move to England and has recently been training with Queens Park Rangers.
He has now linked up with Championship rivals City and started Saturday's 2-0 victory over Wolves at Ashton Gate.
With the Robins short on available goalkeeping options, manager Gary Johnson confirmed he will be trying to sign Lejsal.
"I'd still like to see him peppered actually so we can really see him," Johnson told the club's official website.
"I'd also said to the chairman before the game that if the fans started singing 'sign him up' we might have to.
"He looks the part and we've seen him in training. He's a big lad, a solid keeper. We've got his representatives here and we'll discuss the way forward with them.
"A season-long loan looks the option for us and we'll see how the talks go."
