Goalkeeper out for six weeks

Barnsley goalkeeper Luke Steele faces six weeks on the sidelines with a fractured finger. Steele completed the full 90 minutes on Saturday as Barnsley lost 3-1 to Reading but it has since been discovered that he has an injury. The 25-year-old will not be able to return until mid-October and is likely to miss at least six Championship games, as well as the Carling Cup clash with Burnley. "He has broken his distal phalange on the fourth finger of his right hand," Tykes physio Chris Burton told the club's official website. "We are looking at something like six weeks out. "He will go for another X-ray in 10 days time and we will know a little more then when we can see if everything is healing in the right way."
