Midfielder's injury may not be as bad as first feared

Coventry are concerned over Aron Gunnarsson's leg injury and will learn the full extent of the problem later this week. The Sky Blues midfielder was stretchered off at Sheffield Wednesday on Saturday and the early diagnosis suggested that the Iceland international had suffered a fractured leg. City boss Chris Coleman has revealed Gunnarsson's complaint could instead be severe bruising, although that would still keep the 20-year-old out of action for up to a month. "The news is a little better than we thought," said Coleman. "It was badly swollen on Saturday and we suspected a fracture but we are hoping and praying that is not the case now. "He is on crutches and it is still badly swollen and in the next few days we will know for sure."
