Plymouth Argyle manager Paul Mariner has confirmed there has been interest in Alan Gow, but is not looking to move the striker on.
Gow, who joined the Pilgrims from Rangers last summer, has been linked with a return to the SPL with Hibernian.
The forward has not started a Championship game for Plymouth in two months, although he featured as a half-time substitute in Saturday's 1-0 home defeat by Crystal Palace.
Mariner has made Gow aware of the interest from other clubs, but he is not actively seeking to let the 27-year-old go during the transfer window.
"There are clubs interested in Alan, and he knows that," Mariner told The Herald.
"Every single decision at the club is always under review. We don't take hard and fast decisions on people. It's always a state of flux.
"I spoke to Alan and he knows exactly how John (Carver) and I feel about him.
"He's a pro and he wants to play. If anybody in the squad came up to me and said they were happy to be on the bench then they are in the wrong place."
