QPR pair Lee Cook and Rowan Vine have closed in on first-team returns after successful run-outs for the reserves.
Winger Cook has yet to feature in Rangers' play-off bid this season after undergoing knee surgery during the summer, while striker Vine has missed out in recent weeks due to a stomach problem.
But the duo came through 60 minutes of the Rs' behind-closed-doors friendly against Luton Town and reserve team manager Keith Ryan was pleased with the players' outings.
He told the club's official website: "They've both been working hard on their fitness recently, but that's no substitute for them playing games.
"This was great for the pair of them. They were both desperate to play. This match also gave us the opportunity to look at some trialists."
QPR caretaker boss Mick Harford will be keen for Cook and Vine to step up their fitness in time to feature for the testing trip to Nottingham Forest next Tuesday.
