Oldham extend striker's stay at Boundary Park

Doncaster have agreed to extend striker Lewis Guy's loan spell at Oldham until the end of the season. Guy has struggled to hold down a first-team place at Doncaster under Sean O'Driscoll and teamed back up with former Rovers boss Dave Penney, now at Oldham, when he arrived on loan at Boundary Park in the middle of last month. Rovers have insisted on a 24-hour recall clause on the 24-year-old, who has scored twice in six appearances for the Latics. "Since he has come here he has been a real threat for us, so we are delighted with what Lewis is doing at the moment," said Penney. Guy scored at the weekend as Oldham eased their relegation fears with a 2-1 defeat of Bristol Rovers.
