Ajax boss to land El Hamdaoui and Mido

Ajax manager Martin Jol has expressed his delight at agreeing deals to bring Mounir El Hamdaoui and Mido to the club. El Hamdaoui will join from AZ Alkmaar while Mido will return to the Amsterdam ArenA seven years after leaving, as revealed by skysports.com on Monday. Mido left Ajax in acrimonious circumstances to join Celta Vigo on loan and he went on to play for Marseille, Roma, Tottenham, Middlesbrough and West Ham. Jol worked with both players during his time at Spurs and is confident the duo will strengthen their attacking options. "Mounir is what we needed," he told AD Sportwereld. "He is able to make this Ajax team better. "(Mido's) a great guy to have here. We had no options up front, but now we have two."
