Queens Park Rangers captain Martin Rowlands is closing on a comeback after receiving the go-ahead to resume full training.
Rowlands has been sidelined since last October after he suffered an anterior cruciate ligament injury on international duty with the Republic of Ireland.
However, Rs boss Neil Warnock revealed the midfielder is on the brink of ending his 10-month absence from the first team.
"I think he's only a couple of weeks away now," said Warnock.
"He's been given the go-ahead to start full training again. It's a big plus."
The 31-year-old moved to Loftus Road from Brentford in 2003 and he has made more than 210 appearances for the Championship club.
