Skipper hurts ankle and shin in Leeds defeat

Bristol City captain Louis Carey will be on the sidelines for at least a fortnight after being injured against Leeds United. Carey was replaced midway through the second half of Saturday's 3-1 defeat at Elland Road following a challenge from Jonny Howson. The experienced defender left the ground on crutches after hurting his ankle and shin, and will be out at least until the end of the month. "Louis has extensive bone bruising and a calf bleed. He is going to be sidelined for at least a fortnight," physio Nick Dawes told the club's official website. "There is no fracture, which is the good news, but there is lots of swelling and bruising." City manager Keith Millen added: "It is obviously a blow to be losing Louis for a few weeks. He has done really well at right-back in recent weeks, helping us build an unbeaten run. "We will assess the options available to us ahead of Saturday's game with Leicester."
