Queens Park Rangers have extended the contract of midfielder Gavin Mahon by another month.
The 33-year-old is currently working on rolling terms, having seen his deal at Loftus Road expire in the summer.
Rangers are reluctant to offer him a long-term agreement as he has struggled with knee injuries of late.
Mahon will, however, be sticking around until at least 17th December after putting pen to paper again.
He has been nursing a hamstring injury recently but is hoping to be involved in Saturday's meeting with Preston as regular anchorman Shaun Derry is suspended.
Meanwhile, Jamie Mackie is looking to take confidence from his exploits with Scotland in midweek and end his goal domestic drought.

The 25-year-old opened his international account on Tuesday when he rounded off the scoring in a 3-0 win over the Faroe Islands.
He hopes that striker will reignite his efforts at club level, with the goals having dried up of late.
Mackie plundered eight in as many games at the start of the season to set the early pace in the Championship scoring charts, but has now gone 10 games without finding the target.
He is confident that barren spell will come to an end sooner rather than later and believes his strike for Scotland will help to open the floodgates.
"If you look at the last few weeks, I've played in a variety of positions and not necessarily got forward as much as I'd have liked," said Mackie.
"I haven't played up front all season, only on the right. I'll look to keep playing well and the goals will arrive."
