Midfielder admits it is time for Lilywhites to start winning

Michael Tonge admits Preston North End need to start picking up points in the Championship 'sooner rather than later'. Preston sit bottom of the table after just four wins in 19 games and were held to a 0-0 draw at home by Millwall at the weekend. Tonge, who recently joined the Lilywhites on loan from Stoke City, believes Darren Ferguson's side are close to finding a winning formula. However, after just one win in the last 10 games, Tonge acknowledged Preston need to quickly start putting points on the board. "We're not a million miles off," said Tonge. "Sometimes you can try too hard and end up making mistakes. "We've got plenty of games to get out of this situation, but we need to do it sooner rather than later."
