Ex-Spurs man heads home to boyhood club

Former Tottenham and Middlesbrough striker Mido claims he will spend the rest of his career with Zamalek after signing with the Egyptian club. The 27-year-old started his career with Zamalek before enjoying stints at Belgian side Gent and Dutch giants Ajax. He has since spent time at Marseille and Roma, as well as having loan spells at Wigan and West Ham. Mido played at Ajax this season before training recently with Boro, but the Egypt international now wants to complete his playing career at his boyhood club. Mido told Egyptian sport website yallakora.com: "I'd like to hang up my boots here. "My only objective is to retire here. "It's time to return back home. I'm here to achieve trophies with the club."
