Burnley new boy Marvin Bartley admits he could not pass up the chance to be reunited with manager Eddie Howe.
The midfielder penned a three-and-a-half-year deal with the Championship club after departing Bournemouth for an undisclosed fee.
Bartley arrived at Dean Court from non-league Hampton & Richmond in the summer of 2007 and quickly established himself as a regular under former Cherries manager Howe.
And the 24-year-old is delighted to link up with his old boss again following Howe's move to Turf Moor last month.
Bartley said: "I found out Burnley came in for me on Monday and I had to drive up as quickly as possible to try and beat the deadline so it's been a weird couple of days, but I'm happy to be here now.
"I heard about a couple of other clubs coming in for me but with Eddie and Jason [Tindall] being up here, it was the only place I was going to come really.
"It's a massive club and it's a great opportunity for me to come here. There's no way I could turn it down. I am delighted to be here and hopefully looking forward to a good end to the season now."
