Leeds manager Simon Grayson heaped praise on winger Robert Snodgrass following the 2-0 win at Bristol City.
The Whites made it successive victories and clean sheets with the result at Ashton Gate, leaving them four points ahead of seventh in the Championship table.
Max Gradel found the back of the net to seal the success, and it also means Leeds are just two points off the automatic promotion spots.
Midfielder Snodgrass, 23, made his Scotland debut against Northern Ireland on Wednesday and Grayson was pleased to see him score to round off a great week.
He said: "It has been a huge week for Robert, with his first game for Scotland and now this excellent performance.
"He is a lad who deserves everything that comes his way because he works so hard at his game.
"In the 92nd minute today he was still closing down Bristol City's full-back and playing his part for the team.
"Max Gradel is a similar type of player on our other wing and he also took his goal well and played a major role in our victory."
On the game itself and chances of automatic promotion, Grayson added: "Bristol City had some chances and we had to make some last-ditch challenges so it was great credit to the lads that they kept a clean sheet.
"A lot of clubs still fancy their chances of automatic promotion in the Championship.
"We don't look at other results too closely, but will go on doing our jobs and see where that takes us."
Robins reaction
Meanwhile, Robins boss Keith Millen admits his side were outplayed by the men from West Yorkshire.
"We were second best," he said. "We deserved to score at least one goal, but you cannot defend like we did for the two Leeds strikes and expect to get anything from a game.
"There was a big build-up to the match for a number of reasons.
"It was Louis Carey's 600th game for us and we had a near capacity crowd, which makes our performance doubly disappointing.
"Nicky Maynard returned to action for the first time since his knee surgery last summer, but by then we were two goals down.
"We didn't defend our 18-yard box properly and need to tighten up defensively if we are to build on last week's 4-0 win at Preston."
