Leeds striker Billy Paynter will serve a three-match ban after the Whites elected not to launch an appeal over his red card at Sheffield United.
Paynter saw red a minute from time in Saturday's 2-0 reverse at Bramall Lane as Simon Grayson's men saw their promotion hopes suffer a setback.
A statement from the club confirmed the Whites would not take any action after footage of the incident proved "inconclusive".
Referee Michael Jones revealed in his match report that Paynter had been sent off for a head-butt that was seen by his assistant.
The striker insists he was not guilty of any wrongdoing but is now set for a spell on the sidelines during a crucial period, missing the games against Nottingham Forest, Millwall and Derby.
Grayson told the club's official website: "I'm disappointed that Billy will miss three games, but I'm confident in the players we have here."
