In-demand Ipswich Town striker Connor Wickham has signed a new deal to keep him at Portman Road until 2014.
The highly-rated 18-year-old had as recently as January signed a new deal until 2013, but he has now extended it for a further year.
Wickham is one of the most sought-after youngsters in the game after impressing for Ipswich in the last couple of seasons.
The likes of Tottenham and Liverpool have been credited with an interest in Wickham and Town boss Paul Jewell hopes the new deal will end the debate over the teenager's future.
Speculation
"It might stop all the speculation, for a little bit anyway," said Jewell.
"A lot is expected of Connor Wickham every time he goes on the pitch but what people have to remember is he's only 18, sometimes I have to remember he's only 18.
"He's only been in the game two minutes and an awful lot has been said about him and he deals with it really well.
"Hopefully we can develop him as a player and help him become a Premier League player, hopefully with us."
Departures
Meanwhile, Jewell has revealed Pablo Counago and Kevin Lisbie have played their last games for the club.
Spanish striker Counago is currently on loan at Crystal Palace, while Lisbie is out on loan at Millwall.
The two strikers are out of contract at the end of the season and they will not be offered new deals.
"Pablo and Kevin will be leaving the club," added Jewell.
"I haven't spoken to either of those players, and they haven't been in touch with me.
"Their futures will be elsewhere."
