Dons: Baldock going nowhere

MK Dons chairman Peter Winkleman has warned Peterborough United they are not interested in selling striker Sam Baldock.

Posh supremo Barry Fry has earmarked the 22-year-old as a potential replacement for Craig Mackail-Smith, who is poised to move to the Premier League this summer. But Winkleman has reiterated his intention to keep hold of Baldock for the foreseeable future. "We're committed to building a better team than we had last season," Winkleman told the Citizen. "He is a massive part of MK Dons and has a huge responsibility. We're sure he will eventually go on to bigger and better things, but only when the time is right. "We're not interested in selling our best players."
