On-loan forward may remain at Leeds beyond January

Leeds manager Simon Grayson has revealed he could try and retain Andy Keogh beyond his current loan spell. Striker Keogh is on loan at Elland Road from Wolves, where he looks to have no future, and has been in good form so far this season. The 25-year-old is due to return to the Premier League club in January, but Grayson admits he may look to keep the former academy player. "It's a possibility," Grayson told the Yorkshire Evening Post. "That would really be down to Mick McCarthy and Wolves, depending on what they want to do with him. "Mick wanted to get him out on loan to give him some games and get him in the shop window but he might look at what Andy's done here and think 'we'll have him back in January'. "The better he does for us the more it's something we'd like to consider but it's probably too early to think about that yet. "He's got better and sharper and, as I've said before, he's doing something right because he's keeping (Luciano) Becchio out of the team. "The moves he's had in the past prove what a capable player he is, and he and Ross McCormack seem to have a great understanding." Keogh was instrumental in the recent victory against Doncaster Rovers and also scored in Saturday's win over Peterborough.
