Youngster makes deadline day move to Selhurst Park

Crystal Palace have signed Margate youngster Kwesi Appiah for an undisclosed fee. Sky Sports had earlier revealed that the Eagles had agreed a fee with Margate for the highly-rated frontman and the club have acted quickly to wrap up the deal ahead of the transfer deadline. The 21-year-old was in demand after hitting 35 goals in 34 games for the Isthmian League Premier Division side this season. Now he is set to make the jump up five divisions to the Championship after signing a two-and-half-year deal at Selhurst Park. "I'm absolutely over the moon to be joining Palace," he told the club's official website. "There were quite a few clubs taking a look at me over the last few weeks but Palace is the one I wanted to be at."
