Defender would welcome return to either club after loan spells

Former QPR defender Peter Ramage would welcome the opportunity to return to Birmingham or Crystal Palace on a permanent deal. The 28-year-old spent the first part of the season on loan at Selhurst Park before helping Birmingham qualify for the Championship play-offs in the final months, making 16 appearances for the Blues after joining in February. The full-back has since been released by QPR after finding his first-team opportunities restricted. However, following two enjoyable loan stints, he says a return to either of the second-tier sides would interest him. "I had two great spells at two great clubs and really enjoyed my football over the course of the season," he told Sky Sports. "I played a lot more matches than I thought I would at the start of the season, with just under 40 games in total. "I managed to play a part during a successful period for Palace and then joined Birmingham at a time when they were pushing for promotion.

Return

"It was good to be involved with two different clubs that were challenging for things and looking to progress up the table. "I'd love to return to either Birmingham or Crystal Palace next season, but I don't really know their situation at the moment. "There will be various coming and goings at both clubs and I'm not sure whether I figure in their plans. "I hope that I did myself justice and enough to be in consideration, but I'm not expecting anything to happen soon. "I'm just trying to enjoy my summer, with a lot of things going on personally as I'm getting married in a couple of weeks. "I'm open to all options though and excited to see what happens as the summer progresses."
