Bruce waiting for experienced defender to make a decision

Hull City manager Steve Bruce has confirmed he is hoping to finalise the signing of veteran defender Abdoulaye Faye on a free transfer. Faye spent last season at West Ham United, but the 34-year-old left Upton Park following the club's return to the Premier League. He has emerged as a target for the Tigers as Bruce looks to build a squad capable of making a push for promotion back to the top flight. Bruce has held talks with the former Bolton Wanderers centre-half and is waiting for Faye to make a decision on the offer of a deal at the KC Stadium. "Yes, we've been speaking with Abdoulaye Faye and we hope we can conclude a deal," said Bruce in the Hull Daily Mail. "We hope to get an answer in the next 24 or 48 hours."
