Shakers bid farewell to Poleon

Leeds have recalled striker Dominic Poleon from Bury just 24 hours after he agreed to extend his stay at the League One club.

The 19-year-old, along with Whites team-mate and fellow loanee Zac Thompson, was expected to feature for the Shakers at Scunthorpe on Tuesday, but with injuries to several of his key attacking options manager Neil Warnock has decided to exercise the 24-hour recall clause in the forward's deal. "Ross [McCormack] isn't 100 per fit as yet and with Luke Varney missing out for the weekend we're a few bodies light," the United boss told the club's official website. "Dominic has done well at Bury. He's played some matches, scored some goals, and he comes back to us match fit." Poleon found the net three times in his eight appearances for the Gigg Lane outfit.
