Antonio, 25, missed the end of the last campaign due to a groin injury sustained last March and after returning for the first 16 games this season, he damaged his knee at the end of November.
He returned to action as a late substitute on New Year's Day in the home win against Blackpool, but suffered a recurrence of the knee problem in training the following day.
"I've come through quite well to be honest," said Antonio, who made his second comeback at former club Reading earlier this month.
"I've had no reaction since I had the first reaction and since I've been back this time I've not felt it at all, so I'm feeling positive.
"It's been difficult. Nobody wants to be injured and then you get back thinking you're well and you do it again.
"That's quite frustrating, mentally, so it's good to be back and hopefully I'll stay back.
"Every footballer wants to play and be involved. There would be days when I was in the gym and I'd see the boys training and I'd just be thinking I want to be out there.
"Mentally it takes its toll. You know in the end you're going to get there, it's just that waiting."
Antonio joined Wednesday initially on loan in January 2012 and is in his second full season with the club. He has made a total of 75 appearances, scoring 12 goals.
