Peterborough and Charlton contested a lacklustre goalless draw at London Road on Wednesday night.

A distinct lack of tempo from both sides saw just one effort on goal in the first half and even that shot from Nicky Ajose was straight at Addicks goalkeeper Stephen Henderson.

It improved after the break. Kyle Vassell came close to a stunning goal but he was denied by Henderson after a self-crafted chance which involved a slick turn, a driving run and a rasping shot.

Charlton could easily have won the game comfortably but for a combination of Ben Alnwick's brilliance in the Posh goal and some feeble finishing.
