Bristol City have completed the loan signing of Leicester City defender Liam Moore until January 4.

The England U21 international came through the ranks at Leicester's Academy, but has now fallen down the pecking order at the King Power Stadium.

He has had two loan spells at Brentford in recent seasons and also spent time at Bradford City in 2011, gaining match experience.

Moore helped Leicester win promotion to the Premier League in 2014 and has since made 11 appearances in the top flight, although his only appearance this season came in the Capital One Cup victory over Bury on August 25.

Speaking about the switch, Moore told City's official website: "I assessed my situation, spoke to the manager personally and made sure I made the right move.

"It's a club on the up. The stadium is getting done at the moment and the training ground is also being developed.

"The team have been playing some really good football and I think it's turned a lot of heads.

"When I spoke to people to say I was on my way down, they said it was a really good club playing great football, so I can't wait to be part of it.

"It's just about finding that balance. From what I've seen, it's been very fine margins and the club have been very close to getting some good results."
