Ed, a farmer from Knutsford in Cheshire, has seen his beloved Clarets rise to the top of the Sky Bet Championship and now has double cause for celebration after beating over 500,000 other entrants to land the cash windfall.
Ed's six correct predictions included his side's 2-1 triumph over promotion rivals Reading at Turf Moor.
"It was a massive game last Saturday and with Burnley being in the Super 6 it made one of my predictions an easy picking," he said.
"I used to be a season ticket holder but stopped due to commitments on the farm, although I still follow them closely."
Ed was also bang on the money with his other predictions: Cardiff v Newcastle (1-2), Fulham v Stoke (1-0), Hull City v Aston Villa (0-0), Liverpool v Crystal Palace (3-1) and QPR v Barnsley (2-0) thanks to Charlie Austin's late penalty for Harry Redknapp's side.
"It was the first time I had entered Super 6 and only got my predictions in with 10 minutes before the 3pm deadline. I still can't believe it.
"It's still very soon after the win so it's not quite sunk in yet but we're looking at a Caribbean cruise to celebrate!"
The weekly game is considered the ultimate test of football knowledge with only two previous jackpot winners since it was launched back in 2008.
Ed joins an exclusive club with Peter Townly and Jonathan Kilpatrick the other jackpot winners. The top prize was almost landed on the opening weekend of the Sky Bet Football League season, with one unlucky entrant denied by Luke Murphy's 94th-minute winner in Leeds' 2-1 victory over Brighton.
