Birmingham City have signed Lukas Jutkiewicz from Burnley on loan until January 2.

The 27-year-old has been deemed surplus to requirements by Sean Dyche, and will play at St Andrews until his loan deal expires on 2 January 2017.

In July 2014, Jutkiewicz joined Burnley for a reported £2.25m.

However, since rupturing his cruciate ligament in August 2015, he has struggled to see first-team action, only making six appearances during Burnley's title-winning campaign in the Sky Bet Championship last season.

Having also signed Rhoys Wiggins on loan from Bournemouth, Birmingham manager Gary Rowett will bring a boosted squad to Craven Cottage to play Fulham on September 10.

The arrival of Jutkiewicz prompted Danish forward Nicolai Brock-Madsen to depart on loan for PEC Zwolle on a season-long loan.
