The 20-year-old enjoyed a short trial at the club earlier this weeks and Slovan general director Roman Duben claims The Premiership club are very keen on signing him.
Blues boss Steve Bruce is keen to bolster his attack and has already signed French World cup winner Christophe Dugarry from Bordeaux.
Duben admitted that Birmingham could face a fight to land Vittek as a number of other clubs have expressed an interest in signing him.
"Birmingham's offer is interesting for us and for the player," said Duben.
"I've got a good feeling about it. The negotiations were good, Robo trained with the team and showed that he's got what it takes to play there."
"I predict Robo will go abroad, but whether it's to Birmingham I wouldn't dare to say.
"We'll have a look through the Birmingham offer, along with others we have on the table as well, we'll compare them and then make a decision."
Vittek is keen to play in England and is hopeful a deal can be sorted out.
"It's every player's dream to play at least once in England. But at the moment it's all in the hands of the bosses," said Vittek.
