Moore eyes Blues pair

ROTHERHAM UNITED boss Ronnie Moore has revealed his interest in signing Birmingham City's midfield duo of Bryan Hughes and Darren Carter.

The Millers manager watched both Hughes (pictured) and Carter play for Blues' reserves on Wednesday evening and Moore is hoping to add some loan signings to his Millmoor squad by the start of next week.

"I am hoping and praying that we could have a couple of players in by Monday or Tuesday next week," said Moore.

"Bryan Hughes is a good player - he gets forward, he will stick his foot in and he is not bad on the ball.

"We have also shown an interest in Carter, but both of them would be on loan here at first."

The Rotherham boss is also planning to watch striker Dave Kitson play for Cambridge United on Friday night, when The U's host Lincoln City at the Abbey Stadium.

Kitson has become a striking target for The Millers following the club's sale of Alan Lee to First Division rivals Cardiff City.
