Swedish tactician Eriksson has failed to find a consistent performer on the left flank, with a whole host of players having attempted to fill the breach.
Dunn appears to be coming into form at the right time and Bruce feels his charge would perform with credit at Euro 2004.
"I know Eriksson and Grip are watching Dunny," said Bruce. "If he can continue the form he showed on Sunday there is no doubt he could fill that role for England.
"It's up to him to grab the chance now."
Bruce does not believe operating on the left would be a problem for Dunn.
"Even Dunny doesn't know which is his best foot. Playing on the left of a diamond will suit him down to the ground," added Bruce.
"The national side is usually made up of players from the big clubs. But the door is still open for Dunn and Matt Upson."
