Mansfield have snapped up striker Andrew Barrowman on loan from Birmingham.Mansfield Town have snapped up young striker Andrew Barrowman on loan from Birmingham City.
Barrowman has found himself on the periphery of the Premiership club's plans and has headed to Field Mill for a month.
The 20-year-old has made just one substitute appearance for Blues and is joining Mansfield to accrue experience.
He spent a month on loan at Blackpool at the start of the season but was restricted to just two substitute outings for the League One side.
Barrowman has now dropped down to League Two level to turn out for The Stags and could make his debut at home to Shrewsbury Town on Saturday.
His signing will give Carlton Palmer added options as Mansfield's caretaker manager placed Derek Asamoah on the transfer list earlier this week.
Asamoah is highly unlikely to play for the club again, while Barrowman could stay with The Stags until the end of the season if he impresses sufficiently well enough.
