Clinton Morrison has warned Birmingham he will keep his options open over his future.Birmingham striker Clinton Morrison has warned the club he will keep his options open over his future.
Blues are keen to keep Morrison at St Andrews and have offered him a new deal to extend his stay.
Morrison is not happy at his current lack of action for Birmingham and fears it could result in him losing his Republic of Ireland place.
The former Crystal Palace ace is down the pecking order at Birmingham and with the club looking to sign Walter Pandiani on a permanent basis it means Morrison's chances may become even more limited.
Morrison is now considering his future as he fears for his international place with the World Cup looming next year.
"I'm keeping my options open which is always the best way," said Morrison.
"All any footballer wants to do is play football, not just sit on the bench, and at the moment I am sitting on the bench.
"The manager [Bruce] has offered me something, but I don't want to sign it right now. I want to wait until the end of the season and see what happens."
Meanwhile, Pandiani's agent claims that the player is set to join Birmingham on a permanent basis at the end of the season.
The Uruguayan international has proved a major hit for Birmingham since his arrival on loan on the final day of the transfer window and the club have made it clear they would like to keep him.
Pandiani's English representative Francis Martin believes a deal is close to being agreed.
"The contract is near enough sorted out but Birmingham haven't reached agreement with Deportivo," Martin stated.
"Deportivo have got to be realistic."
