Birmingham's Stephen Clemence will be out for three weeks with a calf injury.Birmingham midfielder Stephen Clemence has added to the injury crisis at St Andrews by going down with a calf problem.
The former Tottenham player picked up the injury during the first half of Sunday's derby clash with Aston Villa, and could be out of action for three weeks.
"I'd already had a hamstring problem which had kept me out for a month and, having got back in the team, I wanted to keep my place," lamented Clemence.
The news will come as a massive blow to Blues boss Steve Bruce, who has had a host of other injuries in midfield to deal with.
"Whenever we get an injury crisis, it always seems to be in one position. Now we have problems in the centre of the park.
"I have never known injury problems like we have had in the past 15 months and I've not been able to field my first choice team in that time," complained Bruce.
"It's a blow for Stephen because in the previous game against Arsenal he probably put in his best performance for the club."
Birmingham are just two places off the bottom of the league, and have not won a Premiership game since August.
