Championship Pro-Life

Neil Danns brings us his latest exclusive column.

It really has been a great month on the pitch for everyone at Birmingham.

I have been heavily involved which is always pleasing and one of the main things for any player.

From our last seven matches we have lost just one game and that has seen us consolidate our position at the top end of the table, which is where we should be anyway.

The only game we have lost in the league was last time out against Southampton and that was a strange game all the way through, for a team to score three goals in five minutes is surprising and I think we can just put that down to being a weird one.

Obviously we also faced Liverpool in the Carling Cup in the past few weeks, and that just reminded me of where I want to be - the Premiership.

Like, I think, all the players at Birmingham, getting back into the top-flight is our sole ambition this season - that is where the club belong and where we are determined to get.

Personally I managed another goal, this time coming against Barnsley and I am hoping I am showing people what I can do.

I am still not playing in my best position, but I am as ever working for the team as everyone at the club is - and that is what you have to do, always do your best and the results will come.

Things are improving for me all the time as I get accustomed to a new club, new team-mates and I think that is showing now and hopefully that will continue to be the case over the coming weeks and months.

Thanks Neil

Who is the most skilful player at the club?

Well Nathan that is a tough one, there are a number of very talented players here. But I would have to say Gary McSheffrey. He can do an awful lot, but especially with a ball at his feet, he is very good.

Is it easier lower down the leagues, to score goals etc?

That is a hard question. I am not sure whether it is to be honest - sometimes it may look it but I don't think that is the case.
