Swansea City have lined up a deal to sign Huddersfield Town striker Pawel Abbott.
Following the sale of Rory Fallon to Plymouth Argyle, Swans boss Kenny Jackett has been anxious to bring in a replacement.
He has targeted Abbott and a £150,000 deal for the former Poland Under 21 international is due to be completed shortly.
Abbott has agreed a two-year deal with Swansea and will end his three-year stint with Huddersfield, for whom he is out of contract at the end of the season.
His likely last act as a Terriers player was being sent off against Doncaster on New Year's Day, while his final goals should prove to be a brace in the 3-2 win over his prospective new club in late December.
Meanwhile, Swansea are also hoping to push through a permanent deal for on-loan Birmingham City defender Marcos Painter.
The full-back has made eight appearances since arriving at The Liberty Stadium and Swansea chairman Huw Jenkins confirmed talks are ongoing.
Jenkins told the South Wales Evening Post: "Birmingham want some recompense for a player they have produced and we have offered a fee.
"As things stand, we're still trying to negotiate a deal."
