Blues chief to look to alternatives for firepower
Birmingham boss Steve Bruce has decided against pursuing a deal for Mohamed Kallon.
The former Internazionale striker, who is a free agent having been paid up by Monaco, has spent the past ten days training at St Andrews.
Bruce is eager to pep-up his attack and had seen Kallon score in a behind-closed-doors friendly against Kidderminster.
However, having learnt that obtaining a work permit could prove problematic, Bruce has decided to turn his sights on alternative targets.
"There would have been a problem getting a work permit," said Bruce.
"Our information was that it would have been very, very difficult so Mohamed has gone elsewhere and we wish him luck."
