Transfer news: Lee Clark not planning on making any more changes at Birmingham

Lee Clark will not be rushing back into the transfer market as he considers his Birmingham City squad to be complete.
It had been the intention of those in charge of recruitment at St Andrew’s to bring in another winger before the summer window closed.
The emergence of youngsters such as Demarai Gray during pre-season has, however, led to those plans being revised.
There’s no need for me to bring in another winger, unless they are really, really exceptional, which, to be honest, I don’t think will happen.
Clark is now ready to press ahead with a mix of experience and youth and sees no reason why he should be looking to block the path of exciting academy graduates.
He said in the Birmingham Mail: “I said I was looking for a winger but I don’t think I need to go for one the way Demarai Gray is playing.
“And I thought Koby Arthur was excellent the other night (against Forest Green Rovers) as well.
“We like to have our own players in and around (the squad).
“So if they continue in the form they are in, there’s no need for me to bring in another winger, unless they are really, really exceptional, which, to be honest, I don’t think will happen.
“These lads, give them a chance, give them the confidence.
“Demarai has trained unbelievably well, he has been one of the standout players of the whole group, both in training and in games.
“He is throwing down the gauntlet to me, really, to try and get picked for the first game.”
