Sky sources report that Trabzonspor forward Dame N'Doye is expected on Wearside for a medical ahead of a planned move to Sunderland on loan until the end of the season.

The former Hull striker joined the Turkish side for £2.2m in the summer but he has yet to find the net in 12 appearances so far this season.

The relegation-threatened Black Cats agreed a deal for Bayern Munich defender Jan Kirchoff last week and are now looking to strengthen in attack.
