Sunderland midfielder George Honeyman has signed a new two-year contract with the club.
Honeyman has progressed through the club's youth ranks, initially joining the Academy at just 10 years old.
The 22-year-old is now set to remain at the Stadium of Light until the 2018-19 season.
Speaking about his new contract, Honeyman said: "I am delighted to commit my future to the club where I have spent most of my football life. I am now looking forward to working hard over the summer in preparation for the new season."
The Sunderland midfielder is bidding to follow in the footsteps of Jordan Pickford and Duncan Watmore as youth product players to excel at the club with the midfielder earning plaudits last season for his performances during his five Premier League appearances.
