Boaz Myhill has signed a new two-and-a-half-year deal with Hull City.Boaz Myhill has signed a new two-and-a-half-year deal with Hull City.
The Tigers goalkeeper has started the season in great form and Peter Taylor has responded by offering him an extended contract.
The 22-year-old has kept three clean sheets in six games as Hull adjust to life in The Championship.
Myhill's new deal has now extended his stay at The KC Stadium until the summer of 2008, and Taylor says that it is reward for his consistency.
"He still had a couple of years to go on his deal but he has been in such tremendous form we wanted to reward him with an extended deal," said Taylor.
"He is a player we feel can go to the very top and whilst we haven't had any offers for him in the past, it would not surprise me because he is a very good young keeper who has everything in his game.
"I've got no doubt that once he learns more about goalkeeping he can go on to be an excellent player."
Hull are also looking to add to the squad and Taylor is still hoping to sign Sunderland striker Chris Brown on loan.
"We're still hopeful that we can sort that one out on Thursday," added the England Under-21 coach.
