Sunderland, Derby and Norwich are chasing Celtic's Stephen Pearson.
Celtic boss Gordon Strachan has confirmed Sunderland, Derby and Norwich have enquired about Stephen Pearson.
Strachan has conceded that Pearson is likely to leave Parkhead during this month's transfer window.
Pearson is looking to move on after growing increasingly frustrated with his lack of first team action in Glasgow.
Sunderland, Derby and Norwich are now set out to fight it out to clinch Pearson's signature.
"Roy (Keane) has enquired about Stephen, so has Derby and Norwich," said Strachan.
"They are at this moment putting bids to Peter Lawwell (chief executive).
"I keep telling Stephen every time I see him that I don't want him to leave but I understand why.
"He is a gem of a bloke who has been a good team-mate but now he wants to be a star in his own right.
"I am 100% behind that. If he does end up in the Championship he will do a job no problem whatsoever."
Strachan also revealed the club had made bids for a couple of players with speculation linking Celtic with moves for Hibernian duo Scott Brown and Kevin Thomson.
"We have made bids for a couple of players and we'll just see how it goes," added Strachan.
"We have been planning for this for a long time and we can now put those plans into operation.
"But I wouldn't say it was imminent because your first talks with a club about players are definitely not the last."
Meanwhile, one player on his way out of Parkhead is youngster Jim O'Brien.
O'Brien has agreed a loan deal until the end of the season with SPL rivals Dunfermline.
