Hearts' Steve Banks says that Craig Gordon is unfazed by speculation surrounding his future.Hearts' Steve Banks says that his fellow goalkeeper Craig Gordon is unfazed by the current speculation surrounding his future.
The Tynecastle club rejected a bid for Gordon this week which was understood to be a deal worth £5million from Premier League newcomers Sunderland.
But despite all the interest in the Scotland keeper and a minor knee injury, Gordon is continuing to train with his Hearts team-mates on the second leg of their pre-season tour in Germany.
"He is anticipating what's going to happen as much as anybody because initially it won't be his decision," said Banks, who has been understudy to the 24-year-old for two seasons.
"It will be the club's decision and then he will have to decide what he wants to do from there.
"He is very calm, which is a major factor in why he's such a good goalkeeper.
"Not only has he got the technique and ability but he doesn't get flustered.
"He certainly has the ability to go to the very top, it will just be a matter of whether he gets the lucky breaks."
Meanwhile Hearts are set to look over Portuguese trialist Rui Baio during their two weeks in Germany.
Assistant head coach Stephen Frail said: "He came towards the end of last season and he was there for a week or two.
"He did okay so they have decided to take a look at him at the training camp. He has looked decent."
